I said I was done at #8 then I read two more issues. Unsure who's dumber: me or this story.

This volume tipped the scales for silly-serious, it's a problem I run into when comedy and things are dire/drama create friction. The pacing felt so off I'd wondered if I'd read it out of order and struggled to stay interested. It came across as a bunch of jumbled ideas and rising tension pulling apart the suspension of disbelief I give to comedic ventures. I'd debated giving 2 stars, but it hit too many sour notes for me. Not likely read a next one.
