I’m not against reading taboo storylines but this was…not it. 500 pages, for an unresolved story and it goes on for six books total? Nah girl, you can keep that.

Well this is all over the place.
I like the fight that Adrianna has. I think most of us would’ve given up in a lot of these scenarios, but she didn’t which made me like her character so much more.
I think Kova is a hard ass and sometimes a real asshole, so I hope he becomes more likable throughout the rest of the series.
Now I’ve seen A LOT of comments/reviews of people being like…

I don’t know the story or the controversy of whatever happened in the gymnastics world that got everybody up in arms about this book but…
I would like to remind everyone that this is a work of fiction. Would we be okay with most of the stuff that happens in this book (or all books for that matter) if it happened irl?

Also I read this on KU and she’s 16 at first and nothing happens until she turns 17 I don’t know what the “law” in Georgia is but I still think everybody needs to calm down.

I ended up DNF’ing, I disliked Adrianna, FMC. I didn’t mind the MMC, Kova from what I read up til 25%. My biggest question was how the spice scene would be. So, I did jump ahead to the chapter’s at which their relationship went to that next level…it was interesting. At no point could you forget that it was a 17 year old girl having intercourse…so for that reason I just don’t think this book & I are jiving. I was hoping Adrianna would have more of an Old Soul air to her…but reading her dialogue I just wasn’t getting what I needed. And then the double dipping from Kova, is not really what I have tolerance for in any book characters. So, I am not the right audience for this type of story.

im conflicted, on one hand i absolutely loved it and on the other i hated everything about it. i was honestly so here for the mess (while half hating everyone) up until that final scene.im all for benching her because of jealousy and jumping to conclusions. toxic, but i can handle it. i dont love threatening to yell r@pe just to ruin his life. i plan on reading the next cause i want to see the train wreck but if its more of that imma have to quit.
