This is my first read from this author and I went into it blind. Based on the name and the cover I wasn’t expecting a story with this much emotion and story to it. I was pleasantly surprised.
Pretty standard YA contemporary romance. I did enjoy it, I finished it in one sitting, but I feel like there are still so many loose ends that need to be tied up. I'm assuming they will be addressed in the next book in the series but there were honestly just little sentences mentioning things that for this book alone were completely irrelevant, or if not irrelevant, should have been addressed more.
I also found there were quite a few grammatical/ spelling mistakes, and some sentences just did not make sense.
I still enjoyed reading it, but for my first Abbi Glines I'm not blown away.

this is the first time i read a book where the main characters weren’t annoying AND WERE ACTUALLY MATURE AND MADE SMART DECISIONS?
This book was just beautiful. I have not cried while reading a book in quite some time. This made laugh, cry, angry, cheer with joy and at one point ripped out my heart. This was my 1st by this author and it definitely won't be the last. Really recommend this book. West and Maggie are amazing and a great supporting characters that are with them on this journey.
I'm glad I've gone back to see how this series started so it's nice to see how the characters have grown from this. At times it was confusing because I read #3 first, but only because people that aren't together in #3 are together or friends in this one.
This is a really sad love story and I'm a sucker for those. It treated almost everything right. It just didn't surprised me. It was an okay read but it didn't put me on the edge of my seat waiting and craving more.
There's a weird love triangle thingy that I didn't understood between her cousin Brady who was way too overprotective. Boys are generally way too overprotective and jealous in this book. But it's okay because it comes from love *rolls eyes*
There's another book of the series which I will probably not follow on.

This book has so much potential to be better. The characters are interesting and well explored. My grievance with this story is the thought that every male is like a God and every female, besides Maggie, is a slut who deserves to be shamed and treated poorly. Once this book would have been 5 stars for me, now its a low rating. Author's really need to change things up and do less slut shaming, especially when they write about teenagers. Books set examples for the real world, and we all know there is way too much darkness in the real world already, no need to promote it.
ehh it was okay I read it at work today when I had nothing to do it didnt take long
This was the first book I read after getting back into reading and I remember dropping it and coming back to read it after like a year.
I don't really know why I bothered. I've been reading a lot of fantasy books lately, and I decided I needed a nice, romantic contemporary read as a break. This is your typical Abbi Glines book. Straight to romance with damaged characters fixing each other.
