The delight of language play soon overstays its welcome. The pleasing mouthfeel of her language spoken out loud does not cover up the dreary aftertaste of the nonsensical prose.

Uff minha nossa, não compreendi nada de nada. No início estava só "going with the flow" mas a dada altura achei que eram só palavras coladas umas às outras sem sentido nenhum, até senti necessidade de ir ver outras reviews só para ter a certeza que não era eu que estava maluca e que estava tudo a passar-me ao lado. Pelos vistos muita gente achou estranho este livro. Se o lesse em voz alta melhorava um pouco mas por outro lado só me fazia lembrar aquelas cenas onde nos filmes ou séries um hipster pretensioso com chapéu sobe a um palco para ler a sua poesia conceptual (e no fundo, nunca ninguém gosta).

Even better than the blurb would indicate. Great wordplay and tasteful delights. A genuinely nutritious snack of writing which I will certainly revisit.

Not at all what I expected going in to it, but a fascinating set of abstract prose. Reads like English only to people who have no grasp of the language.
