Each person at Rosemary Barton's birthday dinner party gets to speak in this murder mystery. Or, well, perhaps it was Rosemary's suicide. That's what everyone seems to think happened. Accidental suicide. But that also just didn't make sense given Rosemary and her strong personality and zest for life. But each person at the table that night had no reason at all to kill her. Did they?

The thing is, Rosemary made people feel things strongly, and perhaps someone did want to remove her. Her husband, George, becomes convinced that someone at the table that night killed her and he's got the perfect plan to expose them. He's invited them all to the same restaurant, the same table, the same everything exactly one year later. And while everyone feels rather awkward about it, they also don't feel they can tell George no. So everyone shows up to George's recreated night of Rosemary's death on All Saints Day. But the night, predictably, doesn't go as George hopes. Instead of exposing a murderer, another murder occurs. What is this restaurant serving in their champagne?

Oh, this was delicious. It was a lot of fun to read. To hear each character talk about themselves and their relationship with Rosemary was super illuminating. And Christie employed this technique in such a way that the reader couldn't be sure if it was suicide or murder. This title falls into a series featuring Colonel Race except in this title the Colonel doesn't do much of anything except protest George Barton's idea and observe the recreated night. I'm not sure that there needs to be a series associated with recurring characters, can't they just show up every now and then? Anyway, I digress. This title was very good. Very.

I couldn‘t really get into it, the reveal was good but the rest of the book simply didn’t grap me at all
