Es un misterio que se resuelve a capas, y cuando a final crees que ya sabes quiƩn ha sido te sorprende.

I can't help it, I love Agatha Christie. And though this wasn't a Poirot, the mystery was consuming, and though I was sure I knew exactly who did it from the beginning, the introduction of further mystery and even more suspects and a curious subplot called my theory into question (I was so far from right), that I had to keep on reading.

I finished this in one day and two interrupted reading sessions...and believe this was the best way for me.

Kept me anticipating the revelation to the very end.

Oh I'm so sad and angry about this one. I was LOVING it, good characters, snappy dialogue, intriguing mystery, no clue how it was managed. And then I found out how. And it was SO STUPID. No one, no one ever, ever, could come back to a table they'd been sitting at for more than a minute and sit down in the wrong seat. Even if there was nothing on the table but identical glasses of champagne and a purse. You just wouldn't. You would KNOW you'd been directly across from something, a door, or a blonde lovely, or that a different something was 45 degrees left of your direct gaze, etc. It's the most disappointing ending to a mystery I've ever read. It won't put me off Christie, of course it won't, but for me it has tarnished her sparkle a little bit.
