I really did want to try to figure out how it was all done, a lot of theories, none of which were right. If it were by a different author I think I would have found it more boring.

Letto per la quarta tappa della #readchristie2023 “Giorno dei morti” riesce a tenere incollati alle pagine e si fa leggere in 1/2 giorni.
Molto interessante la scelta di presentare, nella prima parte del romanzo, i punti di vista/possibili moventi dei commensali presenti alla cena in cui si verificó il delitto.

Una lettura piacevole e sorprendente, anche senza la presenza degli investigatoti Poirot e Miss Marple.

Another top-notch puzzle-box mystery from Agatha Christie. In this one, she cleverly keeps you at arm's length from all of the characters--no one's motives are above suspicion, so you know you can't ally yourself too closely with anyone. It's an effective way to keep the focus squarely on the problem. And then, of course, when all is revealed, you feel like you should have put it together ages ago.
