Another fun Christie mystery that twists and turns until the end. What I particularly liked about this one is that, much like in real life, it's often a simple element that a problem hinges on. The characters were fun, and I liked how much personality a lot of the characters had - especially the dazzling nitwit Rosemary, the clever yet foolish Farraday and Colonel Race himself.
The only reason this wasn't a five star for me was that it is one of those mysteries that I think relies on not telling the reader certain things to fully achieve its purpose. While not necessarily a problem, it does mean that the reveal at the end slightly unsatisfactory, or at least I found it so, but it is still a very cleverly crafted puzzle.

Sparkling Cyanide is a great title for a book. A tightly plotted who-dunnit set in a restaurant - twice.

Una de las razones por la cual no había querido leer este libro, aún cuando se considera entre los libros populares de la autora y estoy en mi camino de conocer toda su obra, es que por accidente leí antes Iris Amarillo, un relato que se encuentra dentro del libro Problema en Pollensa. De acuerdo a la autora, escribió Cianuro Espumoso a partir de dicho relato y temía que al ya saber la trama no disfrutara del todo la lectura. PERO, mi agradable sorpresa es que ya sea porque el cuento lo leí hace mucho o no, disfruté la historia, me emocioné y además me sentí desconcertada por lo que encontraba en cada página. Esto comprueba mi teoría de que no importan los spoilers si disfrutas el camino y Agatha Christe es una autora que se sabe los finales son los importantes. En Cianuro Espumoso nos presenta la muerte de Rosemary, una mujer que aparentemente se suicidó en su fiesta de cumpleaños al ingerir cianuro en su copa, después de un año su viudo quiere resolver el asunto pero no sabe cómo... a menos que celebre una fiesta de nuevo donde habrá sorpresas. ¡Y sí que hay sorpresas! Entre las diferencias más importantes están que acá no aparece Poirot, sino que lo cambian por el Coronel Race (otro personaje recurrente de Christie) y la verdad es que sí extrañé a Poirot y me sacó mucho de onda que la portada del libro en su versión en español maneje un mensaje muy confuso diciendo: "la historia donde aparece la única mujer de la que Poirot se ha enamorado" porque eso es publicidad falsa ¿? o sea puede confundir al lector con la idea de la aparición de Poirot o con que se mencione algo de esto en el libro cosa que NUNCA SUCEDE. ¿QUÉ ONDA CON LXS EDITORES AQUÍ?
Dejando de lado eso, una novela disfrutable y sí pondría que un clásico entre las obras de Christie.

Audiobook: Hugh Fraser narrated this very well and the twists and turns you’d expect kept me guessing. Another great mystery!
