☆‘We are all stardust and stories.’

‘A reading major, that’s what he wants. No response papers, no exams, no analysis, just the reading.’

‘I think the best stories feel like they’re still going, somewhere, out in story space.’ ☆

This book was astonishingly beautiful

This book is very dense. I liked it, but it was hard to follow and I got bored at times. If you love HEAVY world building, this book is for you. More often than not though, I was confused.

Good book, albeit often confusing. It was very very very long and I think it could have been shortened significantly. The story, however, was incredibly interesting.

Read the first half and switched to audiobook because it started feeling slow for me already. It felt a bit too long and verbose that it was hard to follow what was actually going on. The characters felt a bit flat to me as well. The imagery is beautiful as could be expected from Erin Morgenstern’s writing but unfortunately The Starless Sea didn’t have the same dreamlike charm that so endeared me to The Night Circus.
