Really enjoyed this book but not so much the ending. It wasn’t necessarily bad but kinda left me with some questions still and although it kinda came full circle with Zamfirs circus and I appreciated that but I also felt that it was abit random I just don’t know how necessary it was? And also did Edith go travelling with the circus or did she end up leaving with flora? I know that Edith didn’t really know what she was going to do, BUT THATS NOT THE POINT I WANTED TO KNOW! 😂
Also who was her biological father? Who was Zamfir? Who was her Grandmother? Maybe I didn’t pay enough attention but I’m genuinely curious.

I loved the overall story/concept I thought it was really cool and enjoyed how each character developed in their own way.

This book did feel very magical but also had some tense parts and included some darker plots/themes ( I can’t think of the right word ) so check the TWS

I enjoyed the characters and storytelling - the author has such a lovely way with words and there was some incredibly beautiful, vivid imagery - however I was expecting just *something* a bit more and I’m not sure what that was.

And although there are undoubtedly threads of hope running through the story, it is ultimately a tragic, truly heartbreaking tale and I don’t think I was prepared for that or really wanting to read such a heavy story. Of course this is personal opinion but I think I wanted this to be a more uplifting book.
