A fine easy read, but all of the characters are quite insufferable. The plot is pretty obvious with only a few question marks that generally resolve very quickly.
Pretty solid little domestic mystery. I did put the end together eventually, but it kept me guessing until late. Rachel is a good, compelling main character and I appreciated how she is depicted sympathetically but unsparingly in all her flaws. I don't know whether this would translate to the the written word but I *hated* the audiobook version of Anna, who is read like a big, dumb block of wood

I had seen this in the theatre prior to reading the book so I was aware of the story and twists that entailed. Saying that I still enjoyed the book as it wasn’t exactly like the stage production. There were characters missed out on the stage version and the stage version also included more of DI Gaskill. The endings are also different. Had I not seen the stage production I probably would have enjoyed the book more. Still a good read however.
