There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this novel. When I read the synopsis, I thought it would be like [b:Skinned|2791536|Skinned (Skinned, #1)|Robin Wasserman|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255601050s/2791536.jpg|2817307]. They're both about teenage girls living in a Dystopian world who had "accidents". But this was so much more. Maybe it's because this book isn't part of a trilogy & I know that every word thats written will be the last. I won't hear more about the characters when I close this book. It will be done. Finished. I felt so much empathy for Jenna, stuck in a body she didn't know how to use. There's been alot of emphasis on other peoples emotions in this novel & Jenna almost always felt like an outcast. Of course she did. She had to learn how to live again, how to even feel emotions & what those emotions meant. And what's so wonderful is that she became more. She became a Jenna Fox that Jenna Fox would never have even dreamed of being before the accident. She became a better Jenna Fox. She lost so much but gained herself in the bargain. Overall, this is a novel about what a parent will do to save their child & the repercussions of that action. I was very sad to see this story end. But as Jenna said, Everyone has to die eventually.

The Adoration of Jenna Fox is a good thought provoking read that brings up the question of what it means to be alive, to be human, and who has the right to decide. It sort of reminded me of I Robot in that aspect.

There are sequels to this, but I found this to be a really good stand-alone and probably will not read them.

This book had a fairly predictable plot. I don't think I was really surprised once while reading it, and I know I was supposed to be. Still, the writing was pretty good, and I liked it enough that I wasn't bothered by the predictability.

The characters were okay, but we really only get to know Jenna in this novel, and the other characters are not fleshed out at all. It's just a journey of self-discovery for Jenna, and that's pretty much it. She does have interactions with other characters, but even those seemed to be interactions to help us understand who Jenna is, and not who anybody else is.

I'd recommend this for a quick read, especially if you like YA books. This book was eerily similar to Skinned by Robin Wasserman--so many plot points were the same, except the stories seemed to go in totally different directions.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this book up. I had heard the name previously but know nothing about it. I think that is how you must go into it - with any knowledge of what it is.

I admit I was more intrigued than interested as I read through it. It poses some "big" life questions in terms of morality, ethics and life choices. I can't say much without spoiling it. Here is what I can say, though:

If you want a book full of action, this isn't it.
If you looking for love, you are looking in the wrong place (this is not ateen love story book)
Want a funny read? Go elsewhere.
Superheroes? Traditional science fiction? Vampires? Nope. Nada. Not a chance.

It is a book that will cause you to think. And question what is and what could be. Definitely worth reading.

It was an emotional rollercoaster- I do feel like this book was more of a prequel to the next book after reading Fox Inheritance but it was a nice little emotional teen mystery sci-fi? It was giving me Host by Stephanie Myers’s vibes which was nice.

This was a 3.5 but then the ending pushed it to a 4. I have read several ya dystopia series but this one was the most unique. I predicted some of it but it's a true coming of age story from an interesting perspective that I found hard to put down once it got going.... I saw there are more but you don't need to read the other books if this one is satisfying to you!

Very thought-provoking sci-fi type novel that is sure to create two 'camps' of opinion on the protagonist's situation, especially the ending. Identity, medical ethics, spirituality, government control, and other issues abound. I don't want to spoil this one - it unfolds at a great pace, as you discover right along with Jenna the truth of her situation. I liked almost all of the characters - well drawn. I didn't, however, know what to make of Dane, and wasn't sure why he was there.

A not to miss book, imho.
