I loved the final edition to this series! I knew these two were gonna be end game! I am not a huge fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, but this one was written really well! Ben’s situation broke my heart, but I loved how he and Gabby’s story unfolded. The sign language rep in this book was fantastic, and I absolutely loved how Ann wrote this into the story! The angst and pain in this book is palpable. Anyone who has ever had harbored feelings will relate to this on a cellular level. This story is so sweet and gives the message of forgiveness, honesty, and seeing all the quiet ways someone tries to show you they love you.

Trigger warnings-can’t say without spoilers
Tropes-he falls first, set in the 80s, friends to lovers, angst for days, slow burn

This BOOK had my mouth fall open on more than one occasion. It’s so unexpected and shockingly addicting. It started off kind of meh for me but then it all just came together and blew me away. “Little Gabby” was the one I thought would have the most traditional HEA book out of the three sisters and boy was I wrong and caught off guard. I can’t even properly write a review without spoilers so I’m going to keep it basic. Matt comes back into the story (from book 1). You get snippets of Sarah and Eve. You get a couple crazy unexpected events that happen and change the trajectory of the entire story. You get love, heartbreak, depression, friendship, family and so much more in the last book of the series. Jewel does no wrong in my eyes. Her writing is beautiful and evokes so much emotion. I’m obsessed.

3.5 ⭐️ - to clarify: this book wasn’t for me, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be for someone else!

This book is a coming of age story that centers around Gabriella (Gabby) as she ventures to a further away college with the goal of getting her high school crush, and sister’s ex, to fall in love with her. Gabby has never had a boyfriend and is not experienced with any kind of physical intimacy. When Gabby freaks out before her first date with Matt because she doesn’t know how to kiss, she begs her best friend Ben to help her. But when she feels more than she expected to while kissing him, she begins avoiding him - that is, until Ben gets sick and is forced to drop out of school. When Matt, the guy she’d dreamt about, is ready to date her, all she can think about is Ben. Will she be able to ignore the sparks she had with her best friend she kissed twice in order to pursue the man she’s been dreaming about?

This one was kind of a rollercoaster read for me.

Part of my heart will always belong to Gabby and Ben. Their story took so many unexpected turns for me! I mean truly, these two are put through the wringer and it gets a little dicey. BUT, the love that Ben has been harboring for Gabby for most of his life prevails, as it should. And, in turn, once Gabby’s eyes are opened (or more like once her lips meet Ben’s) she realizes the love she has for him is unmatched.

Now, as much as I love these two… they deserved better. The ending, or solution, to all of the obstacles thrown their way was QUICK. Like signed, sealed, delivered in a matter of the last 20% of the book. I would have liked to have seen Ben realize Gabby was pregnant earlier in the book so we could get more of his growth instead of glossing over the changes & situations he struggled to come to terms with.

Still a good read, just wish this perfect pair got a little more!
