In Short: Jewel E. Ann has created something truly special with this series. It has me in such a chokehold. If you haven't read her yet, please do so! Her books are so well done. I love them. I've read every single one of hers in one sitting.
General Thoughts: Sunday Morning is one of my favorite books of the year so far, so I was super excited to read this one. It did not disappoint. Jewel E. Ann has created something truly special with these books here. I feel so immersed in the world and the characters every time. I grew up in environments similar to what the author describes, so it leaves me in my feels every time. I really enjoyed this one. Jewel is a beautiful author, who writes such heartwarming (and heartwrenching books). I am so addicted to her books, and I can't recommend them enough. I received a review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to the author and Valentine PR.
Spice Meter:❤️🔥.5 Not the spiciest out there, but I thought spicier than the first.
Romantic Tropes and Things:
-mostly single POV (occasionally dual pov)
-self-discovery
-college
-friends to lovers
-always been you
-contemporary realistic
-"I'm a good girl" (perfectionist vibes)
- healing

A Good Book is the final installment in Jewel E. Ann’s Sunday Morning series that follows a trio of sisters who are coming to terms with their religious believes and upbringing with become an independent adult who has dreams that might be different from what their father expected. Following Ann’s signature style of angst and emotions, each novel will take you on a different and cathartic emotional journey bringing these sisters and their relationships to each other and their parents into new focus. These novels are also set in the late 1980s, which plays really well with the conservative and small town upbringing into a different focus and understanding that comes with the oppressions of that time. Anne’s writing is clear and fully embraces the tone and embodiment of the character whose head she is in at every moment. Because the reader is so strongly linked to the character we are in their heads and see their motives and insecurities in a more personal way.
This romance is a best friends to lovers romance between Ben and Gabby who are both in their first year of college and have life throw them some pretty major curve balls. Their romance is messy and full of insecurities which, while frustrating, are exactly who these people would be at their age and while dealing with the various life obstacles that are thrown their way as they are learning who they are as people not under their parent’s roofs. This novel is emotional and angsty, everything that I have come to expect from Ann, and the journey the reader is taken on is also equal parts sweet, frustrating, romantic, sexy, and endearing. The relationship these two start off with at the beginning fully morphs and changes throughout the story as they both are forced to grow up separately and then really fight to come back together. In the end, it is clear that these two will overcome any obstacle together as long as they fully trust the other.
Jewel E. Ann is an author I really enjoy, knowing that the journey she is going to take me on might not always be easy, but in the end I will be left with a full and happy heart. A Good Book is a wonderful example of Ann’s work and if you love a college romance between best friends then definitely check it out.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect when starting this book but then suddenly I could barely put it down
I loved the romance so much. The characters were definitely immature at times but in a way that I would expect them to be considering their ages. It made for a very angsty, very engaging read so I am certainly not complaining
I highly recommend going into this story without reading any reviews/anything else about it. That is what I did and it made the experience that much better
I loved this series so much! Book 2 fell a little flat in comparison but the first book and this one were perfection to me

This is one of my favorite authors but something was off about this one. I think it was the pacing. Slow start with rushed ending.

A Good Book is the 3rd story in the Sunday Morning series set in the 80's about 3 sisters whose father is a preacher. This is the last sister, Gabby's story and what a tale it was.
This coming of age romance gave us secrets, lies, crushes, friendships, family, heartbreak, strength, love and so much more.
It was a well written tale that gave all the feels as we are taken on quite an emotional roller-coaster ride. Gabby and Ben character development was incredibly with all the real life situations they had to deal with and it all ends with a wonderful conclusion to the series. This was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to romance lovers.
This book broke my heart and gave me all the feels! I absolutely fell in love with Ben. I equally love this book as much as Sarah’s. But this one is more emotional!
