fucking love/hate jade. such a grisly yet heart warming novel of self discovery. one of the most believable horror characters i’ve read recently as well, probably because of her extensive knowledge on the genre.
great job Stephen Graham Jones! cant wait to read his other works!

Darkly funny and sincere and whip smart. Jones knows the slasher genre up, down, sideways, and underwater. I was kept teetering in doubt about the existence of the slasher right up until the end.

I don’t exactly know what I just read? And I didn’t understand the ending but I enjoyed the ride and the slasher references and essay read alouds were really cool
