I absolutely LOVED this book - so much so I was a little sad when I finished it!

I loved this book! I did not love all of the characters- you’re clearly not supposed to in this one and the author does a good job of ensuring that happens - but Sophie and the others in Yorkshire … I certainly loved them. Watching Sophie come out of the shadows and into her own light, claiming her life and overcoming the doubts and fears that might have prevented her from doing that, was a captivating journey: I hated putting this one down.

My only comment is that I think it took Sophie a bit too much time to grow a backbone. Other than that a very cute story and one that I couldn’t stop reading 🩷🩷

I like Milly's writing, I find it warm and comforting. While I do find her books formulaic, I like her creations of strong female characters and warm, supportive friendships.
