I like it so much when there's a chance to deep dive back into Kate's world. Beautiful concept and really nice to drop back in for a couple stories.

I read this for Curran's POV during my recent rereads of the Kate Daniels series and it adds some nice color and perspective to the events in the books. The other short stories are nice as well. Recommend this book if you're trying to get more detail about the series, but not if you're new to Ilona Andrews!

This is a collection of short stories and other extras that I think had all been posted on IA's website previously.
I had mixed feelings about them. Ironically the ones not set in an established IA world made me want to read more set in those places.
It took me ages to finish not because anything was particularly tricky but because I was finishing the Kate Daniels series so I could finish the Curran and Jim POV sections without spoilers. Little did I know all I needed was to be through Magic Breaks.
Also I should have predicted that I largely did not like those sections and could easily have skipped them.
YMMV but I'm content not getting Curran's full childhood backstory. Although I did appreciate the glimpse of how Dali reacted to Jim becoming Beast Lord.
