¡Súper interesante! En un primer momento parece el "típico" libro de productividad, "monotasking", etc, y en este aspecto es interesante; pero luego va mucho más allá y propone una dedicación mucho más integral y social.

I haven’t read any of Pete Davis’ books, so I didn’t know what to expect from this one, but it was fantastic. We’re all flooded with choices and options more than ever, which makes it difficult for us to stick to one thing. We’re afraid to commit to one thing because we want to leave our options open, and FOMO is definitely a problem I struggle with, and I know many others do as well. Pete Davis presents a compelling argument for why we need to stay dedicated to relationships, projects, jobs, interests, and much more. Without even realizing it, this book was something I needed in my life because I have 1,000 ideas a day and often jump from one to another. I took a bit longer to read this book than others because I really wanted to savor the lessons from it and implement some of the ideas into the different projects that I’m currently working on. This was an excellent book, and now I look forward to checking out the other books that Pete has written.

I really enjoyed this. Pete Davis is grounded, thorough and makes a compelling case for caring about the world, and the bits of your life we often approach with lax commitment. I could use a reread.

This could have made the same impact if it was an article or long form essay, good info but was hard to keep my attention.

Be substantial. Care about something so that you don't chance one shiny thing after another. A leaf in the wind without roots.

I love the description of the teen to twenty years and the limited possibilities. We've been bound and restricted for so long. We grow the most with our care free attitudes and non committal attitudes to everything. It is an important stage of growth. But also one that should be grown out of.

Options can cripple us. At some point we settle into comfort digging our heals in and that is not wrong. An infinite scroll of options: food, relationships, jobs, hobbies can be monotonous and damaging. We get meaning out of how much we put of ourselves into something. A yolo attitude can be fine but I'm moderation like anything over done we can become addicted to.

Down with the Netflix like indecision of to many options. Let's stick with something before we fall asleep from our non choices.

Three star rating only because I thought it could have been shorter. Great read. I have several individuals I could think of of the top of my head that should read this.

I do still like my options, lol
