Beginning and ending. Steller. The middle was boring. But I was glad to have met Boris. The best character. But a great dark academia story that earned its award.

Quite the page turner (which is good, because there are a number of pages to turn) with moving emotional precision.

It isn't The Secret History. This book feels much less focused - there are so many characters and plot points, and some of them are resolved in a way that felt unsatisfying to me. That being said, it's still really good! It kept me interested the whole way through, and the last chapter was especially moving.
