While I liked this book, I didn't like it as much as the other books in the series. All the books have had some wild moments, but I found this one took things a bit far, mostly when Flavia used her imagination to go back in time (?) and this was a big part of solving the mystery (??). That was a bit weird to deal with. Nine books into the series, I'm also starting to get a bit tired of Flavia's attitude towards other people - it was cute at first, but she's definitely starting to become more obnoxious than precocious. However, I loved that her sisters had a bit more of a role in this book - they've always been great characters.
Moderate: Death
