I think my expectations were too high...

I really enjoyed "Summer Reading" and "Wait For It" but, unfortunately, "Paris is Always a Good Idea" simply fell flat for me.

Slow start. Predictable. Cheesy. Some late-story emotional revelations. Happy-for-now ending. Meh.

This book was such a surprise for me. I thought it was going to be another cliche, romance read (and it is) but it’s also so much more than that. It’s about love, loss, grief and finding yourself. It’s helped me to realise that after a big life changing event, you’ll never be the same person again, and that’s okay. The characters are all likeable (except the ones that are not supposed to be) & the minor characters are so cute! Such a great book that I honestly might have to buy my own copy of. The only reason this is not 5 stars is literally the last word of the epilogue..
