One of those picture books where I enjoyed it as an adult. As well as the beautiful illustrations it has a rural setting by UK author, a love story not based around coming out and characters above college age so in some ways more relatable than much of the adult lgbtqia+ inclusive fiction I've read.

After a long wait for the preorder, I can say it is truly worth it. Beautiful words from Ian Eagleton and stunning illustrations by James Mayhew to tell this story of love and happiness. Just gorgeous. There needs to be a copy in all schools, I have already bought extra copies for gifts and classrooms.
