Felt like it could have been shorter. What kept me hooked was how very stressful it was to watch this character consistently make the most absurd choices and think, that in a place like the Hamptons, people wouldn't be able to trace her back to her actions. Just wanted to see if she would have to answer for her actions
Could've done without everything that happens with Jack, but I guess the author felt it was necessary to the plot to show how the messiness of Alex.

Overall, it was good, but could've been shorter.

The messy world the main character has created for herself is so deliciously entertaining. The tension is really well-balanced throughout as well. I was just a little disappointed with where it ended; I wanted a little more.

this is a fucking weird book. this truly the top tier of unreliable narrators. this was very hard to get into as I didn’t understand the meandering plot. however as the book continues something extremely sinister seems to be ever boiling under the surface and it is very unsettling. and then i couldn’t stop reading. good for fans of the divisive film Saltburn and My Year of Rest and Relaxation for sure.
i could see this being a good episodic series- each group she leaves in the wake a different episode kind of like Swarm
