Oh my goodness… this one ripped my heart out in the best possible way. I loved every minute of it. Even the ugly parts that had me sobbing and reaching to hold my own children tighter.

Solid book. I can’t lie their were slow moments where I was tired of the continual “I’ll just pretend I don’t love him” thing. The part that really got me was Miles visiting Rachel and Miles saying “you gave him a sister” that shit had me crying. Glad Rachel was the one to show him the way not Tate.

There’s no way she passed CRNA school with all the other stuff going on in this book.

This book broke me. I instantly fell in love with this story and was so invested in all of the characters lives. I love it when a book is from two peoples perspectives and Hoover does this so well, giving the reader a true connection with both of the main characters in the story.
This book was a real milestone for me on a personal level. Miles’ sad past was a little too close to home and after this chapter I almost didn’t finish the book. I didn’t think I was strong enough.
But, Hoovers way with words and ability to make me obsess about the characters meant that I couldn’t not finish this book and hear the end of Tate and Miles’ story. I am so glad I did. Fantastic book and fantastic ending. A hard read but a moving one and I am beyond proud to have finished it.
