This is a story of Isabel’s quest for redemption while conducting an absurd mission on behalf of her employer to abduct an alternate-reality Elvis and use him to control a group of Elvis-worshipping fanatics.  The company’s half-baked idea goes south and leaves many victims in the wake of its failure. And ultimately Isabel must make the choice whether to capitulate to the re-goodening and Dryco’s dominance or to resist.

It was me, not the book. Very miserable time.

Deeply moving story of a broken world and broken people in search of redemption, and ultimately being unable to find it. Perhaps my favorite in the series — Womack's world building is seductive. The language was a bit easier to follow than Terraplane.
