Although I breezed right through this one, it didn't quite draw me in like other Hoover books I've read. The basis behind the plot was not realistic enough for me and Charlie & Silas just weren't powerful enough characters. Eh, oh well! (Also, I did not read the sneak peaks for 2 of Tarryn's books so need to subtract 40ish pages from total pages read)

Okay this is easily my least fave CoHo book. And the worst part is it actually had so much potential. It was such a fun storyline but the ending was wildly disappointing. It was a good book still but I wish there was more of an ending or explanation. Cause I actually like Charlie and Silas even when they had sucky moments lol. But There was no proper wrap up. I kept reading because I wanted to know WHY their memories were resetting but we never get a real explanation?? Unless I missed it somehow!?
I wanted to know more about the shrimp and tarot card lady, more about Charlie’s family, and more about Silas’ family. It feels like Silas family is the only one that kind of got some part of an “ending”.
Plus like how did they actually fix the whole memory thing? Other than randomly deciding they sucked as people and were ungrateful and in love or whatever?? Ugh.
I’m also glad it’s in one book now because if I had to buy 3 books just for that ending… I would have been upset lol.

Confusing, kinda hated the writing. Story ended with lots of unanswered questions.
I didn’t understand a lot of it and there were some bits that weee never resolved or sounded like they were lies?
Unresolved shit/ questions I still have:
- the blood on the sheets?
- why the nurse lady locked Charlie up and gave her drowsy drugs. Detoxing her didn’t sound legit
- how the Charlie and Silas in the letters knew that it was the second time they had reset if the first time it happened they probably wouldn’t have thought they would need to write a letter about it so after the second reset they would not have any memory about the first reset?
This was just a mess. The writing wasn’t very good.
But at least in true CoHo fashion I wasn’t bored and I’m concerned with the shit going through her head…

I've now read two Colleen Hoover books, with Never Never being the latest. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations after loving Verity.
The plot began intriguingly but ultimately felt rushed and underdeveloped. The ending was too abrupt, much like a beloved TV show that wraps up its final season haphazardly. Although the book was easy to get through and the cover is gorgeous, I'm not in a hurry to read more of Hoover's work.

Despite the reviews not being that enthousiast about the book, I really really really enjoyed reading this one. It read really quickly and the characters are so lovable! I was immersed into the story from page one until the ending. The ending wasn’t my fave as I felt like it could’ve been worked out a little bit more, but still it was a really good story! Both Silas and Charlie are worked out really well and I loved the chemistry they have.
Try to go into this book with an open mind and maybe you’ll like it just as much!
