I would've loved to read this book back when I was Dua's age - loved the representation, the cute story and the incorporation of Ramadan and all.

This book could have been perfect but why was Dua spending so much time with Hassan knowing that they both like each other. Especially during ramadan. Also why was the whole book centered around music? The author is making it sound like music is acceptable is Islam.
The book has a lot if potential but it is nit the best representation of Islam.

this book had SO MUCH potential, however :

- why was music a plot line ?? the book could've done just fine without it
- a Hafidh that's in a band? The heart that holds the Quran truly cannot hold music
- comparing music to the quraan? what?
- saying bismillah before you start playing drums i-
- a boy teaching a girl quraan when there was a female that could've done it

just saying, all these things could have been avoided and the book would've been a 4 star for me
