I found this slower than I expected, but also I shouldn't have expected a fast pace given the fact that most classics are pretty slow. It's not bad, but I thought there would be more action and excitement.

I read this for a class. Wells establishes science fiction tropes rather than follows them. Though, I don't think this genre is for me.
