I enjoyed this a lot! Emily Henry is so good at writing romances that feel exactly the way I want them to. I have discovered that best friends to lovers isn't really my favorite trope, but that is completely on me and not on this book, which was objectively delightful. I also found Poppy's journey in here to be so honest and meaningful. Audiobook was lovely as usual!

I really enjoyed this book!
Second chance romance, friends to lovers, it's always been you, one bed, opposites attract, he takes care of her.... Alex and Poppy's connection was written well. Maybe it's my type but I loved Alex from the beginning and then just continued to love him throughout. I thought the characters fears revealed at the end were realistic and made for the happy ever after. I can't wait to see this as a movie, it's a very cute romcom.

I LOVED this book. In no small part to my personality already basically being the main character’s. I’m from Ohio. I run a travel blog and have wanderlust. I get migraines. I studied creative writing. I have cats.
But besides all that, I loved that this book fueled my wanderlust and inspired me to travel more, I love the romance, heavy in the slow burn. And though it was weird having the story told in mostly flashbacks, I almost find I preferred that to how Beach Read was told (though I also recommend Beach Read!) it’s not perfect—I would have liked to see more in the present—but it’s still five stars.

Delightful and quick read. A bit cliché at times, but also describes those complex human emotions better than most books do, and perhaps, our own minds do. This book is like a love letter to all of humanity, it takes time to revel in all of our weird quirks and habits. It takes special care to point out decidedly human qualities in otherwise unimportant characters, making them that much more loveable and memorable.

I was having the time of my life up until when the ending rolled around. I probably just thought the story was going to go in a slightly different direction than it did. Not bad, but not what I expected - I wish it would've taken a bit more time to arrive at it's conclusion - but still, People we meet on vacation is very, very much worth the read.

Absolutely reccomend.
