2.5 estrellas. Caótico. Desagradable. Tomó un poco de sentido al final. Respeto la necesidad de dar foro a una diversidad de voces y con ese interés lo leí. Personalmente este cuento no me aportó nada y dejó mal sabor.

Ariana Harwicz is a master in writing short, disturbing books about mothers and daughters. While 'Die, My Love' was an uncomfortable stream-of-consciousness about a mother and a baby, now it's about a mother and her adult daughter. But again Harwicz creates a very raw and troubling atmosphere in very short chapters. Looking forward to the last installment of her involuntary trilogy.

In wild stream of consciousness narration, Harwicz explores desire, need and dependency through the dynamics of an utterly dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship, and describes scenes of excrement, filth and depravity.

This is a difficult, uncomfortable, and challenging read about transgression, breaking conventions and pushing boundaries, and whilst I can see the power in it and admired the stunning translation, it wasn't for me.
