God - I´m glad I finally finished this. This is by far the worst book I´ve read from Cassandra Clare. (I still need to read Clockwork Princess and Lady Midnight, so maybe there is something even worse waiting for me.)

I´ll go through the things I liked first:

Sophie and Gideon: I like their relationship, that Sophie is learning to fight and Gideon´s conflict with his father.

Charlotte and Henry: I enjoyed them in the first book too. They compliment each other well and the scene in which they talk about their feelings is very cute. (Even though I thought "WTF?! Have you never talked about anything substantial before you got married? How are you married for years and not talk about your feelings at all?!") I saw the pregnancy coming as soon as Charlotte was sick in the warehouse. Worst foreshadowing ever.

Demon Pox. A Lightwood that has Demon Pox. I hope Maryse and Robert know about this. They would hate that.

Woolsey Scott. I love him. I want him to be together with Magnus forever. (Well... until Alec shows up of course.)

What did I hate:

EVERYTHING ELSE!

The tedious love triangle was embarrasing to read through sometimes. There is zero chemistry between Tessa and ANYONE. It also felt incredibly forced that Tessa had to go everywhere with either Jem or Will and once even with both of them.

Will´s curse is so unbelievably stupid. Seriously - even a 12 year old could figure that out. And HOW didn´t he notice that there wasn´t a course later on? Charlotte clearly loved Will and she never died. Nobody can be THAT stupid!

Magnus and Camille´s break up, it was so anticlimactic. I also didn´t buy into their realtionship at all and Magnus didn´t seem too heartbroken over ending it with Camille.

The endless descriptions of Tessa´s fucking clothes and her hair. I DON´T CARE WHAT DRESS SHE´S WEARING ALL THE TIME! I don´t care how she does her hair up. I also don´t care for the numerous mentions of Will´s and Jem´s eyes. We get it - Will = blue eyes, dark hair - Jem = everything silver.

The making out scenes were so badly written. I rolled my eyes at almost all of them.

The plot barely moved forward. Most of the book was about the love triangle.

Everyone was so dumb. Jem misunderstands what Tessa is saying, Tessa misunderstands what Will is telling her, etc. etc. Almost none of the dialogue seemed realistic.

And don´t even get me started on Jem and Will not realizing they are both in love with Tessa. These guys are PARABATAI - how could they NOT notice?! (Then again, I think that Clare has underused the parabatai-bond a lot in all of her books. In TMI Alec and Jace don´t really seem to be parabatai up until the last book.)

I just hope that Clockwork Princess won´t be as horrible as Clockwork Prince. Because I need to keep reading all the Shadowhunter books, because... Magnus.

The sequel to Clockwork Angel and just as fun, romantic and interesting as the first book. Entertaining and, surprisingly, just as good as Clockwork Angel!

I love this second book so much! I feel like we really get into the characters in this book and I love it. Even though I am not a Wessa shipper, I cannot help but fall a bit in love with will towards the end of the book, and feel sorrow for him as he is finally able to profess his love to Tessa, only to find her engaged to Jem. However, Jem Carstairs deserves every happiness in the world and I do love him and Tessa more than I believe I could ever love Will and Tessa being together. That said, this book convinces me a bit more or their relationship and I can feel myself beginning to thaw towards the idea of Will and Tessa, as I believe I did when I first read this trilogy. I am so excited to continue to the next book!

Wow!! This was Amazing!! The world building and plot exceeded my expectations. Even though my heart was being broken constantly and I love how it doesnt follow those typical tropes. So many twist and turns. I love how tessa isnt this weak and clumsy character like in most YA novels and shes actually strong and a very good role model with amazing choices made. Cant wait to read Clockwork Princess!

This book has a bit of middle child syndrome but to be in the middle of two incredibly fantastic books is quite unfair.I typically hate "love triangles" in books but this one you can't help but love.Jem and Will are two intriguing characters with different things to offer. This middle child certainly doesn't disappoint.Tessa has now grown in her confidence and strength which I love! That I will definitely say of this book that it brings the growth of all the characters as people but Tessa is the star. She is kind, strong,REAL,loving, forgiving, and just full of wisdom especially for a young lady. Will's story is heartbreaking but hopeful because you see his struggle with allowing people to be close to him and bit by bit letting his walls fall down. This book definitely brings you to understand why he is not eager to let those he loves be close to him.I think this is the middle ground and explains everyones story so it can get to the point in the next book and be free to conquer a great story to be told.I just love this series.

Wow every Cassandra Clare book is so good that I could not put them down. I liked this one even more than the first one but I think the last book will be even better. This book was not as fast paced as I thought it would be but that was ok. I loved the characters but they should communicate more with each other. There were a lot of misunderstandings und Tessa was very frustrating some times. The back and forth in the love triangle was also expected but because I read City of heavenly Fire I kind of know how this will be resolved. Still I cannot decide for who I'm rooting for. Right now it seems to be Jem. I can't wait to read the last book because I think a lot will happen that will blow my mind.
