Read October 2017

I could see this one being fun for story time--short and funny, and with just enough drama. Not one of my favorites, but I enjoyed reading it.

I like the idea, that the pigeon talks to the reader, but I just don't think this is as good as everyone else does.

When my son was 5, he learned to read by plowing through the Pigeon Series and the Elephant and Piggie Series. He finds the illustrations comical and the writing is easy enough for him combining both sight words and easy phonics.

I read this one to my story time group and they didn't get it--these are 3-5 year olds. If the kids don't love it and I don't love it, it is just okay.

I'm giving this the rating my 5 year old boy gives it. The pigeon books are one of the few books that he attempts to read to himself, over and over and over.
