Reading this book has been one of the most special experiences in my life. Have you ever read a book where you feel like finally somebody understands you and what you're going through? Or at least tries to? Like the author basically just wrote down everything that's in your head that you couldn't turn into words? The comfort you gain from the fact that after all, there are other people out there who are struggling and have struggled with the same or similar problems as you? It might not give you the answer to your problems but you at least know that you're not the only one feeling that way? That you'll get through it and you'll figure it out in the end?

'Cause that's this damn book.

Oseman is a master at writing non-sexual but affectionate/loving relationships between young adults. I also very much appreciated the truth that some familial relationships just have to be let go. Boundaries have to be set, even with people the world tells you that you are supposed to love forever.
