Well I just guess I'm getting kinda tired of reading ya novels:(
It's like I can't help but every trope I see I'm like we'll that's like that other book I just read. Also I don't get the great like being whole feeling when I finnish one.
But I can say this was a beautiful book. And it was actually much different from other recent ya I've read recently. And it has such diverse characters and they have depth and most of them are lovely, also I have to mention this that I loved Frances's mom, she was one of the best mom characters I've read recently.
And also the fandom aspects of the story were really enjoyable.
Also it was really fascinating read a book in a day.

It was fine. I enjoy how Oseman includes a variety of perspectives on relationships in her writing. Some bits reminded me of a crap relationship I was in, but that has no bearing on the quality of the book.
As a YA, it was good and had some fresh takes, while still feeling a little Disney Channel movie.

Who writes friendship better than Alice Oseman? I'll believe someone else does when I see it. I'm going to keep repeating the word "beautiful" throughout this review because that's the only way I can think to describe the friendships and the emotions contained within this book.

Alice Oseman writes characters beautifully and realistically. They are flawed and have so many layers. They interact with every character slightly differently and it builds such a complete picture of their personality. The friendship between Aled and Frances was so beautiful to read. The level of care and love they hold for each other cannot be described with words.

Never has another author better represented the British school experience. Every time I read one of her books set at secondary school, I feel like I've been dropped into my own reality. It's small things like whole year UCAS personal statement sessions (in which no one does anything of course) and the school naming things weird acronyms to make themselves look more serious.

The Universe City scripts are so wonderfully written. The script for episode 1 specifically so clearly and beautifully encapsulates Aled's feelings. "Long ago I was afflicted with a terrible predisposition to never say a word, and honestly I cannot understand why or how that happened." I wish I wrote this whole section.

I loved it. I wish I had more words to dissect how and why but I don't right now. I was worried I'd grown out of Alice Oseman's novels but now I think I may never.
