Definitely a page turner! I really loved getting the perspective of both women. However, unlike a lot of books right now that change perspective each chapter, this gave a whole extra element of surprise by splitting them into separate sections. You have to completely change all of your opinions when you reach Daphne's section. It was a great book for maternity leave - short chapters and compelling plot.

Eesh.
The "she got what she deserved" thing doesn't really work when we're talking about sexual abuse.
I liked this until the end, but then it just felt gross.

Oh goodness, I'm not exactly sure where to begin with this one. Was it a fast-paced read? Yes. Was the topic interesting? Yes. Did I love it? Jury is still out but I'm leaning towards... no. I personally think it was way too wordy and a majority of the book was spent on Amber Patterson's point of view and even though I know she's supposed to be an unlikable main character, I really had 0 patience for her or matter of fact for any of the characters in this book. I feel so conflicted about writing this book because on one hand it was a fast fun read but on the other hand the content really bothered me and rubbed me the wrong way. Idk guys. 2 stars is the only thing that explains this read for me. I didn't love it.

This book was so depressing and mean spirited and easy to guess. The ending redeemed it a little which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of one. I’m disappointed in Reese for picking it for her book club.
