Part 1 was so incredibly hard to get through and so incredibly slow. Through the first part I could understand “why” but somehow not the “what”. But it picked up in the second half and it redeemed itself slightly. Be prepared to hate everyone involved

Impossible to enjoy. A storyline and characters that you can not root for, not support. A character that the author probably intended the reader to sympathize with becomes no better than

her own abuser by condemning another woman to the same situation

. And that alone makes the read very uncomfortable and upsetting.
