"The Last Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine, it’s a wickedly thrilling ride! The story delves deep into the lives of the rich and manipulative, and it's hard not to get caught up in the protagonist's pursuit of a luxurious existence at any cost. The way the book is structured, with a dual perspective, adds so much depth to the characters and the plot. It's fascinating to understand the psychology behind the main character's actions and to see the vibrant portrayal of the wealthy lifestyle she craves. However, I did find some of the plot twists a bit predictable and wished for more depth in some of the secondary characters. Overall, if you love psychological thrillers with a touch of high society drama, this is a captivating read!

I wish I could give it a 4.5.
This is a fantastic book with only three characters. Husband, wife, and home-wrecker. It’s no spoiler to tell you that Amber Patterson is the home wrecker and a self-avowed woman on a mission. Motivated mostly by her wish to be tremendously wealthy, Amber is determined to OUTRIGHT steal Jackson Parrish away from his sweet, beautiful wife, Daphne. What ensues is unbelievably fun to read about. Deliciously wicked. I have mentioned that I like books where I dont like the characters because they are evil, dark and crazy. This book has them.

The story is entertaining and addictive! I couldn’t put it down.
The writing is effortless, easy and flows at a naturally fast pace.
The structure of the book is perfect. The first third is Amber’s POV, the second is Daphne’s and the third part is a bit of a combination conclusion.

And, the best part, THE LAST MRS. PARRISH has one of the most satisfying endings to a story I’ve read in a long time!

Really liked it, however the twists were pretty predictable if you have read enough books like this. Still a few shocks though. Very cleverly written.

a quick read.
I would have been more shocked had I not read The Housemaid first. Many poor reviews of THAT book said it was a rip-off of this one and I had to see. imho, the twist is the exact same (perspective flip!) and some of the manipulative plot points seem to be carbon copies, but the circumstances, character personalities and ending are not. It made both books a slightly different experience. This one was a bit too sexually cringy for me. And the main characters are completely unlikable.

Trigger warning: domestic abuse
