I really liked this book. I have recently discovered a love of psychology and I adore colour anyway so this was the perfect match. I liked finding out about the different colours and the psychology behind them. There is a quiz on the book that can help you find your colour palette. Mine was autumn and when I opened my wardrobe I discovered it was correct as all my clothes WERE autumn (reds, browns, orange, mustard yellows). A really fascinating little book.

This book is really more an organized collection of articles.

I do wish this were more in depth in a lot of ways, especially when some parts referenced things that werent clairified, such as the shade of the colour we should avoid in the psychological section and the design styles that were brought up several times but not explained. I'd also like to see a lot more scientific and histlrical/cultural references. I love a good deep dive.

I did find it interesting that everyone whos color season I know based purely on coloring regardles of whether they dress that way, actuay did fit the personality of their season as described here. Maybe, its a coincidence, but as the author is so passionate about this being the case, maybe she should look into whether our own coloring (not what we wear but our skintone, contrast of features, and whatnot) is influencing our personalities or how else these two things are coming to be in harmony. I would be interested in some research around that.

Overall a nice read, although I expected it to be a bit more in-depth.

I'd originally given this five stars but the more I thought about it the more I thought that wasn't quite right. I really enjoyed this and found it both interesting and helpful (I've flagged the pages about colours I should wear and do look at them quite often now). It was a really easy read and the pictures and colours are absolutely amazing. Having said that though I do think that there was quite a bit of 'pop' psychology included and I'd have liked a little more science mixed in with the warm and fuzzy stuff. Haller however does include some really interesting tidbits about colour and why we're drawn to certain things so it's definitely worth the read if you're interested!

Interesting, but I found the information never got quite past the superficial level. An interesting an fun read, with some particular colour groupings I have not seen before!
