Ethan and Lena are perfect for each other. Throughout the book the reader just wants them to be together.

Hah! Ten days and a lot of broken nerves.

SpoilerThe end was too quick, and I don't like the fact that Macon returned.

And after the fight in The Great Barrier was somehow... quick I guess. But I love the whole Wayward thing, Liv is just special, and it was awesome to read British in my mind, if you know what I mean.

Ridley...idk. She's just fucked up, since she captured John's soul in Archlight, or I think so.

I recommend it if you like being mad most of time. Heh.

Beautiful Darkness is a book that takes you on a journey, uncovering all the hidden secrets. So much of Gatlin is uncovered layer by layer, and falls farther and farther away from being ordinary. (NOT DONE)

A good continuation, I thought Lena was acting a bit weird but to be fair to her she thought she was going to hurt everyone. I wish Liv had a different name because Link is already an Li- name

I read Beautiful Creatures a while back, and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed Beautiful Darkness, but I think the gap between reading the first and second book and the time off from reading it really diminished my love of the series. I think that it's one of those series that you sort of need to binge read because there's so much information in each book. I found myself forgetting a lot of things from Beautiful Creatures that was probably important to Beautiful Darkness.

I really like that this book was more adventurous than the first book. The first book did a really amazing job of explaining the Caster world, but Beautiful Darkness really throws the reader into the Caster world. I love how it evolved from being just the Caster world is in the Mortal World to how they Co-exist. I thought that there was really good detail of this world that made it interesting.

I really enjoyed how Beautiful Darkness wasn't just about Ethan and Lena. We learned a lot more about all of the families, and how they're on this journey with Ethan and Lena. I loved being able to get more information on Ethan's family, and seeing their connection with the other world and how it's sort of shaped Ethan into becoming what he is.

One thing that really kind of bugged me is how link all of the sudden is an Incubus. I felt like that portion of the story was really glazed over... When they're fighting all these Incubuses there's no mention of John and Link's fight. So it's really out of the blue that Link shows up at Ethan's house and is an Incubus. I think what's even more surprising is that they're just "Whatever. He's an Incubus now." I know they're use to being around being around other-world beings, but I think it'd be a lot more emotional, especially for Link. He reacted a little bit, but the whole chapter was almost like the authors wanted to add it in to the story but forgot about it, so it just went in as an afterthought.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I can't wait to read Beautiful Chaos, but since it's my midterm week I don't think I'll have a chance to sit down and read for fun.

After I finished the first book, I wanted to know more. What would happen next? I think I loved this one even more than the first book. I was hooked again and couldn't stop reading. The twists and turns were a nice change and a finished this book real quick.
