HILARIOUS! So many laugh out loud moments. Anyone that has ever worked in healthcare (or adjacent) to healthcare will appreciate this. It’s the book we all could have written with the crazy things that we’ve seen and experienced.

“So I told them the truth: the hours are terrible, the pay is terrible, the conditions are terrible; you're under appreciated, unsupported, disrespected and frequently physically endangered. But there is no better job in the world.”

4.5/5 ⭐️
After seeing him live in Sydney a week ago I had to give his book a read and it’s equally funny as it is depressing. It’s sad that the NHS is as stretched as it is with guilting doctors unpaid overtime due to being understaffed and the lack of praise and recognition the staff get given the weight of life altering decisions that they have to make is crazy and the sacrifices on their personal life too to save lives. Great read and the diary entry format helped keep it interesting throughout with some insanely hilarious stories in-between some tragic and upsetting ones. Important read for anyone who’s never worked in the NHS I think so that doctors get shown the same compassion they show us.
