i picked up this book after watching the series and walking into a book fair and not knowing it was based on a book. i was FLOORED by the bbc show, it absolutely broke me into tiny little pieces. i feel i have to say the show has a different storyline, clearly.
ofcourse i grabbed the book when i saw it, and ben whitsaw PERFECTLY captured kay’s humor and wit. that said, kay’s fatphobic comments toward plus size people truly disappointed me.
