Joss and Tank's HEA!!
Joss is a retired soldier, now working as security at a research centre. Unbeknownst to her she has been working for the very corporation that wants to eradicate the Boomers and their superhuman allies. When she is abducted from her apartment one night, she never envisioned her captor being so...damn polite! Sue he's menacing and intimidating but he's never harmed her physically and she faced worse treatment during her grunt days!
Drake (aka Tank) is impervious to just about anything. He's kinda bulletproof, stab proof and pretty much indestructable. Oh he's also just about the strongest thing walking on two legs to. The guy could bench press a car! But being tough on the outside just makes the mushy centre all the more endearing. He know's what it's like to not have a family and he will do what he can to protect his Boomer family. Even take down the soldier with the lovely eyes.
His Boomers may be pairing off and losing focus but not him! Even when he feels the threads bonding him and Joss grow tighter he still feels that his team must come first. Can he entrust their safety to a woman who has been working for the bad guys? Will she lead her bag n tag team back to their base? When they finally locate Michael and Rex will they finally glue their team back together or will they face another loss?
I LOVE this series. Each pairing is just superb and they always counter balance each other, even when on the outside they may seem like the same side of the coin. Joss is tough, all action and a straight arrow. Tank is strong, focused and damn good in a firefight! Their love is a bit slower to catch fire than the others in the series so I quite enjoyed the slow build up of passion!
