This book is terrible.
I know that this is a series for kids but I don't think it excuses its poor writing.
Throughout the entire series,we see Nikki fight with Mackenzie over and over again.
WE GET IT.
Mackenzie is bad and Nikki is good. All while Brandon likes Nikki and not Mackenzie.Could this get anymore cliche?I was excited for this book because I wanted to know how it would be like for Nikki to finally be rid of Mackenzie. As it turns out,Mackenzie is back! (Surprise I guess?) And not only that, the author had to go the extra mile and add in the ironic plot line that Mackenzie isn't popular at her new school.I mean seriously?
This series is extremely repetitive,too.
In almost every book,we see Mackenzie get what she deserves, while Brandon and Nikki look at eachother with googly eyes.
I'm just too lazy to explain why the series is going downhill, but my points still stand.

I only picked this up to evaluate whether our library system should move this series from the teen area to the juvenile section (yep, we should), but wow, I can't remember the last time I disliked a book so much. It felt like it was squeezing my brain with stupidity.

It's probably the kind of book you can only like if you read it as a kid. Hey, I read alllll the Sweet Valley Twins and these are probably the equivalent for Gen Z.

I know it seems foolish and childish, but I LOVE this series. It's funny, adorable, catchy and verry relaxing. Simply amazing. Can't wait to read the next book!

A little out of my league being a young reader's book but the format looked cute and I bought it for the hot pink cover. It was a fast read and a very neat idea that I think would have really appealed to me at 15 and lightly amused at 70.
