Why did I pick up this book?? oh yes, because my mum read it the year I was born, that's why.
Huge mistake, HUGE. The title is a trap!!
As the two main characters are exceptionally gifted, I thought their dialogues would be bright and inspiring. I was wrong. I think there were only two pages were you can find something smart, but the rest of the book is so tiring and repetitive.
1. Both are extremely cocky. Yes, you are smart WE KNOW.
2. Daniel is all the time talking about movies and actors I have never heard of, which makes the reading a little slow due to unknown references.
3. Their parents are just dull, so are their friends
4. Scenes run too fast and are not well connected, etc, etc.
I know this is a French book, but I read the Spanish translation and I just didn't like it, ok?.
Maybe this book is aimed at kids in the same age as the main characters, 11, and I'm just too old. I'll never know.
