I can kind of understand where some of the more negative reviews are coming from, this book circumvents the events going on in the main series with several peeks into the world and other gap filling adventures of the characters. You won't necessarily have to read/listen to this one in order understand what is going on in the next book but there are few little easter egg mentions throughout the series of events that take place in these 0.5 books between the main storyline. You get a little more insight into the mindset and events taking place which is kind of fun and shows the amount of effort gone into flushing out such an amazing world and story.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this as much as any of the main series of books but I am just a sucker for this series as it is just so much fun and feels so well thoughtout.

A fun continuation of the series! You have the opportunity to explore each of the characters more, which I fully enjoyed! I’ve grown really attached to this cast characters. Easily one of my favorite book series!
