This book is so gut wrenching. It’s a beautiful look at girlhood, the way that girls learn how to exist in society, and the tropes we put on girls. The way that the author explores the good girl/bad girl paradigm is incredible. There aren’t any heroes; everyone is complex, flawed, and broken. It’s a raw look at teenage years, growing up, and how the choices we make can change everything.

It was hard to get into the story and the jumping between character narratives made it a bit repetitive. The story was still fun once it picked up about half way through the book, and kept me guessing at what the end outcome would be.
