I don’t think my copy was finished lol it stopped right in the middle of a sentence and cut a word off. Other than that it was quite interesting to hear his interpretation of culture and social order.

Man travels to the future. Man takes pity on “graceful, lazy, weak, and useless” (direct quote) race, who all seem perfectly happy. Man meets the other “ape-like”, smelly, cannibalistic slave race and gets in a fight with them after entering their home unannounced. Man starts a forest fire and kills a bunch of them. Man gets people of the other race killed. Man fucks off home and tells all his friends about it.

Not necessarily giving this one a number rating because an audio book is a completely different experience to reading for me. However - this book was fascinating. Best way to honestly describe it was that it felt like a fever dream.  I also loved how the author had the main character change his worldview with the information he would have available to him. Was a really unique way of story telling.

Time traveling tale/parable about a future state where elite and workers have evolved into separate species/sub-species (Eloi and Merlock). Enjoyable short read, with important themes/warnings for humanity.
