Jules is annoyed her ex is back in town. She hopes he gained weight, got bald, or something to make her feel better about him being an ass. He left her because he said she was boring and it kills her to think he was right.

When he scuzzy ex offers her a pity date, Jules takes matters into her own hands. She walks up to the single hottest guy in town and tells him to go with it.

Adam Meyer can't believe his luck. Back in town less than, two days and gorgeous Jules is begging him to kiss her. How can he say no? It's for a good cause right...

One kiss is all it took. With one kiss, both Jules and Adam are hesitant about what they are doing. But reminders of that kiss are enough to keep them going back for more.

I really enjoyed Foolproof Love. It went by so quickly. I feel like I just started it. It was only sheer exhaustion that got me to put my kindle down. It sweet, sexy, and a whole lot of fun. I hope that some of the other characters get their chances at happily ever after too.

There's nothing objectively wrong with this, but it's never a good sign when I'm listening to an audiobook that I keep compulsively cranking faster and faster on the speed so I can get it over with. DNF'd at 58% because continuing to listen felt like a punishment when I could just fucking go to bed. This is apparently how I learn/confirm that I do NOT like cowboy vibes, small town, or "good ole days" vibes AT ALL. It's good for what it is as being those tropes/themes, but that is still enough to make me cringe out of my mind. If anyone could make me like that stuff, it'd be Katee, but alas, now we know.

This was a hot and fun read.

I love a fake dating trope! True to Katee Roberts, it was an easy read with plenty of tension and spice.

This series is a true hidden gem. And in true Katee Robert fashion, it is spicy as hell. I binged this entire series and they're all amazing. Even though these are all standalones and each book follows a different couple, I highly reading them in order.

Book One: Foolproof Love is set in the small town of Devil's Falls and follows Jules, a cat cafe shop owner, and Adam, a bull rider. Adam grew up in Devil's Falls and left as soon as he could; however, when his mom falls ill, he returns. Jules also grew up in Devil's Falls, but never left. Instead she became a successful business owner.

Jules and Adam run into each other at a bar where Jules's ex happens to be there and in order to save her from looking like a fool for still being single, she jumps on Adam and asks him to play pretend with her. Adam decides to go along with it, because he's always kind of had a secret thing for her. However, Adam mentions their "fake" night out might not look real enough and that they should pretend to date and really get their small town talking.

The best part about their fake dating is that they are still down for a little friends with benefits type of fling.

I would've really liked to see Adam in his bull riding action though..

The book was the perfect length for the read. Not too much drama... didn't drag but kind of same as other reads. Nonetheless, I was still entertained.
