So many tears shed, both happy, bittersweet, and sad. An amazing closing to an epic trilogy.

I liked this book! I was reading some other reviews and I’m seeing some ppl who did not agree with me. But I really liked it, I thought it was a good ending and was wrapped up well. I enjoyed this whole trilogy, it was very light and easy to read and I thought it was an interesting concept.

It's not my favourite book in the trilogy but I was still absolutely hooked from beginning to end. I loved the character redemptions and the relationships built between different characters throughout the book! The ending did feel quite rushed which made it lose a star for me, however it was still a great way to wrap up the series.

Yet again I was gripped from the beginning and if I didn't have real life responsibilities to attend to and sleep to be had, I would have finished this book in one sitting.

Was I 100% satisfied with the ending? No. But the changes I would have made are not very many. There were so many twists and turns that I found myself having whiplash but it was a fabulous journey.

And for the first time in this trilogy journey, I actually found myself feeling for the Darkling. I always knew he was intriguing and complicated but this book really highlighted his vulnerability alongside the fact that he is an absolute monster.

Nikolai is still my favourite. Genya following right behind him. And I'll add Baghra, David, Misha and Zoya. My favourite characters. Baghra and Nikolai's relationship is so sweet (in the way only Baghra can dictate), Mal and Misha have the cutest father-son dynamic. I love Genya and David's relationship and the fact that David doesn't get jokes but is legitimately hilarious.

It was lovely to see how much their trials and tribulations brought Alina's group together. They ate, cried and depended on one another and everyone was integral and important.

Oh and it was lovely to get a glimpse of the Darkling's past because the Demon in the Wood was included at the end of the book which I thoroughly enjoyed. I wish there was more but I understand the author's need to reveal as much as she did. You definitely get a sense of his more human, vulnerable, smart side. And it definitely tugged on my heartstrings.

What a way to attend an amazing trilogy. I've definitely enjoyed my experience and will be recommending to everyone I know!
