I really liked this first book in KC’s Luck series. Kit has found her family, in friendships and a community in a small town. Ben is back to help his dad recover from an injury and recruit Kit as a scientist for his company. These two were ready for each other even if they didn’t know it. I’m ready for the next one!

Listened to the audiobook on audible. It negatively affected my experience. Especially the female narrator. I did mostly enjoy the writing (though it was too drawn out at the end, yawn) and the characters were ok. I'm generally not a fan of an MMC who has trouble communicating, but I guess this guy isn't the worst of his type. He has other qualities which make him a bit interesting. Not really book boyfriend material lol! This book excels with the side characters and the community feel of the small town. I'll read more of Kate Clayborn's books for sure.
